2015 Elhers Estate
Expertly crafted by Kevin Morrisey whom previously made wine at Stags’ Leap Winery and Etude, the 2015 checks in with 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 8% Merlot, all sourced from the winery’s Estate Vineyard.
“This is a grand, sophisticated, Cabernet Sauvignon from the loamy benchland soils of our estate vineyard. The wine is layered with blackberry, black raspberry, chocolate mousse, and carries a compelling density. Focused acid, firm tannins, a touch of spice, and finishing with impressions of black licorice. Classic and complex, this is a fine Bordeaux-style Cabernet blend that will age for decades.
Pairs nicely with amón ibérico de belotta, roasted beets and walnuts, grilled sunchoke, tuna, pork, lamb, beef, duck, blackberry cobler.
