September Wine Tasting

Someone call 9 Wine Wine... We have our first Wine Tasting coming up! This month, we are exploring Southern Italy and Sicily.

Next Thursday, 24 September. The tasting will be from 6-8 pm. The cost of the tasting will be $25, and wine club members will of course receive their discount!

The wines I chose are some of the best from Sicily and Southern Italy that I have ever had... I tasted (many) wines from this region during my "studies" for this month, and found a phenomenal selection to say the least!  From a bold and dry red, to a blueberry forward, table red, to a floral white... These are some stellar bottles, with stories to match.

Don't speak fluent Winese? No problem, we can get you there with time and practice. 

I will have tasting cards for you for your personal notes. Try to bring your own pen or pencil if possible- we want the spread of Covid to end quick, as you do!

• +++ Quick note on cleansing your palate: 
• Professionals in the field usually use plain bread and wash it down with water to cleanse their palettes. It should be a small amount of bread or crackers. After eating the piece of bread, wash it down with plain, unflavored water, and continue on to the next wine. Avoid drinking carbonated or spring water. 
• As you all know, we are BYOF friendly (Bring Your Own Food), so do feel free to bring something you like!

Being a Wine Club member, you receive a discount on tickets to the Tasting. Woot woot! You can buy your tickets ahead of time, or at the door. 

We're socially distancing and maintaining our usual measures of sanitizing and all of that great, safe stuff!

Special notes:

• +++ This is the only time non-Wine Club members will have access to taste this month's wines (and pick up a few cases of your faves!)
• +++ Wine Club members have all month long to pick up more of this wine (dependent upon quantities available, of course)
• +++ We will never stock the Wine Club wines on the shelves at Pinkies Up, unless Wine Club choose it as our 'Rx of the Month' for next month

+++ Wine Club members, you will be able to pick up your wines from us on 16 September after 5 pm. If you are a part of the Advanced Self Guided (Tier 2) level, your wines will be in your cubby in Pinkies Up. You may pick them up, or leave them in there to enjoy on site (no corking fee!) whenever you want.
